Well I understand that individuals or companies can be sued for encouraging acts of damage. I never noticed that The Pirate Bay had a disclaimer with in plain site. I think this has the most to do with it. Making a very large print disclaimer saying that it is illegal and for viewing only would I think solve the legal dispute. I should ask our legal aide at work. Just not sure if I want to waste his time with something like this.

If you really want to get there goat. Lock the thread but keep it public. Edit the instructions to say something like, "Please do not copy and paste (insert link here) and open the file, also please do not go to what ever channel you want and watch T.V. Doing these steps are illegal and could result in prosecution." Your following their orders kinda.

So any update for this? Are they contacting ICANN? BTW, I think they should resolving this problem internally and not blaming other website/forum who post it.

For me, it's like there is a FM Military Radio Channel which is not for public, but can be access thru a regular radio. Anyone who tune or listen to it will be put to jail.

Not fair.....

Well Micmic their is some legitimacy to their claims that it should not be broadcast...but that doesn't equal legal president to prosecute or sue. Simply posting how something is done and doing again are two separate things. Disclaimer disclaimer disclaimer. So as before if the info was obtained illegally as they claim Howard should bend to there demands in the snarky way I suggested as above.

So this is like a TV station broadcasting on some "odd" channel that is usually not used in most places and people simply stumbling on it (whether it's because they heard about it or simply because they were channel surfing).

You can go to Mobitv and check it out. It's almost every major cable channel you can think of streaming.

Because they can't manage their own security, they're blaming others...

Wow...

Hacking? Even if that thread is deleted, the information is already posted. Therefore roaming everywhere on the Internet now...
Just like celebrity sex pictures on the Internet ~ they will never go away, it will keep coming back...
Another person is just going to repost it again...
And the it goes all over again...
As the thread starter said "Well, I found this in the Sprint forums and here we go..."
He found it on Sprint forums... He didn't hack it, these things just come around by word of mouth. Well actually posts if its a forum ._.

Of MobiTV is actually a company of business they need tighter security especially if whatever they are selling/providing can be reached free of charge... Instead of blaming this online community.

If we have to pay with a few days of downtime, go for it. I say we post this everywhere so they have to pay for some schlep lawyer to have to send cease and decist orders for weeks and racking up some nice legal fees for their stupidity.
