Price = $483, but Chicago downtown tax is 10.25%. So, the total came out $532.51
I haven't opened the box yet. I will post unboxing pics, hopefully tonight (too much work to do today, plus took a long lunch break ) or tomorrow evening.
Nokia store have the phone in stock but they will not ship. Sorry, I cannot help here.
Regarding review: I love to play with it right now and write a review, but, E71 lacks BlackBerry support which is nearly essential for me. So, I have to keep on using my E61i for now. I will have to figure out if the IntelleSync works with our Microsoft Excahnge Server. It is possible that those ports are blocked by our tech dept. It is a shame that Nokia couldn't get Blackberry on board for E71. Until then E61i will have my SIM card.
Anyone know how to setup IntelleSync? What information I need from the tech desk?
I had a European model for over two weeks. Phone looks great but I switched back to my blackberry because the E71 does not support BIS. There are alternatives but all the email applications I tried are significantly slower and w/ less functionality than BIS.
The European model (e71-1, as noted behind the battery) does not support US 3G. The US model is e71-2.

I loathe BIS. If your IT department has done their job, Exchange ActiveSync should uses standard HTTPS (unlike BIS), so no unusual ports should need to be open, and all you’ll need is a server name and your username and password for the network.
