Inspiration to do any of this was all from adamnguyen's thread
Okay after about an hour or so of playing around with Mpegable, it is definitely the best 3GP converter out there. I have all the settings down perfectly, but I have my audio a tad bit higher for better quality. Approximately 1mb per 1min.
Here is an episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force for download I just encoded. I would post more but my server space is limited to 20mb and I already got 7mb used up excluding this 12mb file. I found a badass hosting deal though with 750mb storage and 15gb transfer a month for $30 a year! Cheap, yes, but it could hold many a cell phone movie and goodies. Aqua Teen Hunger Force - EP 26 - Super Squatter
PM me if you are looking for the discontinued Mpegable x4 Live v2.2 build 7.
I figured most of this out on my own, but got some stuff from other user guides at the esato forums, credits to them. BIO
Nothing different, just be sure to not select any of the profiles, this will be a custom job.
Interoperability
Select the 3GPP radio button-> then MPEG-4 (video)-> and AAC (audio).
Image Processing
Uncheck that Display Dimension thing and check "Cropping / Resizing"-> Press Setup-> In Resizing Mode select Bilinear, check High Quality, check Constrain Proportions-> Set absolute size to User Defined and at the bottom right under "Resized" type in 176 and the other one should automatically be sized if you checked Constrain Proportions.
Video Processing
Set the Target Framerate to 16.51, everyone says do it at 15 or 9 but I like 16.51 the best because I'd rather have nice quality. The .1 is just a little buffer for us OCD people. I have deinterlacing on because I just figured it would help out the fast moving scenes playing on a little cell phone, the K750i should have enough internal ram to handle a video with pure flat frames.
Video Encoding
Adaptive Framerate set to Full. Compression Quality set to High Quality. Bitrate I have is 95, some of the other user guides say to do it as 100-110 but this seems to be the same and saves a bit of file size. Video codec, obviously MPEG-4.
Audio Encoding
I have it set to a medium bitrate, but the sample rate I have is higher. Seems to be more efficient for size. Bitrate set to 48 kBit/s. Codec is obviously AAC. I gotta mess around with the channels thing some more but I have it on mono for now. Lastly, the sample rate at 44.1 khz.
Yay, more Aqua Teen Hunger Force! Haha. I won't have these 2 up forever, I'll probably change em up every couple of days. Found a better hosting deal... Wouldn't it be cool to have a very simple site with tons of already encoded movies and tv eps to download!? Plus it'll give me an excuse to finally get some decent hosting for all my forum sig pics and whatnot lol.

Hi,
I am trying out your settings but still can't get my vidoes to look as good as yours.
do you still have the original file? I want to try to encode it using your settings to see if my results are similiar.
thanks.
