I got this to work on my Cingular 2125 with stock roms. I tried it with the Motorola Bluetooth Stereo Headsets and it mostly works. There are a few anomalies associated with the track/play/pause controls after receiving a phonecall. The sound quality is mostly okay, but there are occassional dropouts and static. Most of the issues are usually resolved by power-cycling the headphones. I don't know if these are problems with the headset or with the software on my version of the roms. In any case, I'm not sufficiently satisfied to give up my wonderful Shure wired headphones. For those of you wanting to try it that are reluctant, however, it's pretty straightforward and reversable.

Which headphones do you have? I need a new set, and I remember Shure made some nice ones...
I put this on my phone yesterday, and today I got a new stereo headset (iTech clip s65) and When I make calls I get audio in stereo, but it wont play music from wmp, or audible player. I think I didnt get a2dp downloaded properly, but under bluetooth settings, in the services list it has wireless stereo listed.
I am starting to see why it wasn't released yet, it has issues
I have found that sometimes when I go to select Wireless Stereo, it will lock up the Bluetooth Panel, or just not transfer sound to the BT headset. I have found it works best when I power cycle both the phone and the headset at that time, then click on the Headset button and let it establish a hands free profile. Once it's done that, THEN go into Bluetooth settings and designate the headset as Wireless Stereo. Works best for me, but is still flaky sometimes.

Help for a old man??
I have the 2125 (with the stock ROM) and have been trying to get the A2DP installed on the phone. I downloaded the cab and installed it. I'm having problems understanding the reg entries as they are listed in the readme file. This is because I'm old was was taught to never go there.
I have the mobile reg editor installed and funtional I just dont understand how to program some of the values. Example:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Se rvices\0000110B-0000-1000-8000-00805F9B34FB]
@="Wireless Stereo"
Is there an easier way for me to do this or someplace with much more documentation I can read?

Thank You in advance!
Yes, there is an easier way.
