I read on Engadget Mobile that CTIA is going on right now, which, as I've come to understand, is a big trade show for cell phones and the like.

The way I understand it, it's like cell phone E3. Does this mean it could be announced there?

It'd explain where this picture came from, anyway

possibly, but this one is really a GSM conference. The one earlier in the year was CDMA-based and the one with the most new CDMA phones. We could still possibly see the VX9900 official announcement at this CTIA but who knows.

Sweet, a late september release date just might be possible, then. Maybe.

Please, any verizon/lg bigwig people who are reading this, sorry that you're fuming mad that your phone was leaked, but maybe if you would've released it earlier this wouldn't've happened

But I can say this, mosty of the guys I know that work for VZW have no idea on an offical release or anything about offical pics either. my girlfriend has been whining about wanting this phone ever since she first heard about it... She's going to throw a tantrum if it's delayed even further. Naturally, I'll laugh if it is.
