Windows Mobile 2003 SE: devices with Broadcom / WIDCOMM bluetooth stack after running this update or this one.
Which updates? I am using an iPaq hw6515 with a set of Logitech Bluetooth Stereo Headphones for iPod. I don't own an iPod but I bought these because the were on sales for $30 CAD. However, so far I have only been able to get these to work using the supplied dongle but not without.
Logitech also makes the same headphones in black to work with any device and also, I believe it is Logitech that supplies the HP headphones that you used to be able to purchase of HP's website.
So, I am confused. Why is it that I can't get these to work with my hw6515 without using the adapter? When I go through the BT setup and select High Quality Audio Device, then search, it times out before finding the Logitech headphones even though they are in discovery mode.
Any ideas? Should I try to locate the update noted above?
Current Package: 4 Cell Phones with Talk, Text & Data,
Rocket Stick, Home Internet, Home Phone (3 lines),
HD PVR and HD Cable Package.
Avg. Monthly Bill: $600-700 CAD

Please also see my BT & A2DP-related articles at http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?cat=53 ; I've written several articles on these upgrades (HP 1.6, PDA2k etc), their compatibility issues etc
Thank you for the reply. I did read that article earlier through another link. Unfortunately, I am nervous enough doing a ROM upgrade, let alone a registry hack. I will just keep doing what I am doing for now. Someday, I am sure, there will be true compatibility among BT devices!

Any ideas? Should I try to locate the update noted above?
go to HP support, pick RX3715 or HX2755, you should find a2dp addon for your HW6515
caution: this is highly recommended to do backup before adding this update just in case
once your 6515 has a2dp (bt high quality audio), pair with code 0000
I also have Logitech (4 of them), all work with my laptop (CSR bluecore 4 with Bluesoleil), MDA, SDA, X51v without problem
Thank you for the reply. I did read that article earlier through another link. Unfortunately, I am nervous enough doing a ROM upgrade, let alone a registry hack. I will just keep doing what I am doing for now. Someday, I am sure, there will be true compatibility among BT devices!
You will only need to make any registry hacks if you have skipping or timeout; by default, you don't need.
don't forget Grandvue Muses (I have one), it runs off AAA battery (conveient)
but it don't work on Dell X51v with A12 ROM
Speaking of the built-in A2DP support in the MS BT stack of the x51v A12, did your 590A work with it? (Just trying to track down whether it's a chipset / firmware problem of my 590A.)
feel free to add any other that are missing, but try to keep it in this thread so at list we can all have a reference point... cheers!
The Ubixon headsets aren't listed. I've got the NC1 and the thing is incredible. The smallest, lightest A2DP headset by far. I'll post a review, but suffice it to say that when paired with the Treo 650, it works perfectly.

yes, it works, but it is tricky to connect
after connected from axim, you need to trun it off and turn it back on, then connect from heaset by pressing mute/play button
