Wow I thought new phones would be easier to make it your phone. WRONG! How in the hell do I get tones of my own design on that phone to use a ringtones!? I got the darn thing for free for renewing.
Yeah, I hear ya there. I originally had the Motorola W385, thought it was gonna be an awesome phone but it was crap. So I got the Rumor and it's t he same deal; Bitpim has no driver for the Rumor or W385, it pisses me off. lol.
ventones was the only free one that actually walks you through it without downloading nasty virus filled crap. there is an option for sprint free ringtones. they actually have to be videos, and have to end in 3g2.
Ok, all you do is get a memory stick for it and a pc adaptor. then u get it formatted and turn songs (even from cd's) into an mp3. then u open any media player, your memory stick (in my computer) and drag and drop the media! this also works visa-versa and also with pics..... hope this helps!
I tried with the mp3's I used on my v9m, and had lots of songs on the card, none would show up in the assignment list. They have to be in the ringers folder on the phone or voicerecordings done on the phone itself, maybe one could find the extension for voicerecords. The razr's had a special hidden ringers folder as well. Anyone know what it is, or how to trick access to it on the rumor?
