I recently got an LG AX300 phone from Alltel and wanted to create mp3s to use for ringtones...I have been reading earlier on different sites that say Alltel has recently blocked use of 3rd party MP3s as ringers. I just ordered a USB bluetooth adapter on Ebay yesterday and was hoping I could create mp3s and sned them to my phone as ringers. I read that Alltel only lets you play the audio in Multimedia, but when you go to My Audios in Ringers, it shows up empty. I wish there was a way around this without having to buy ringtones from them...hope someone can help me out here..
I don't know really anything about alltel, so I can't REALLY help you there, but I can try. It appears your phone isn't supported by bitpim so what are you using? Make sure you check through all the possible areas you could view sounds on your phone, as well as try saving to different sound areas on your phone (for example: My Sounds, My Ringers).
Also for amplifying, and chopping music, as well as converting to lower bitrates and stuff like that, I would try WAVEPAD by NCH Swift Sound. Great free program for that kind of thing.
The download link is here: wpsetup

Alltel won't let you save audio as a ringtone unless you purchase ringers thru Axcess Shop. I didn't find that out until after I got my bluetooth adapter. You can only play the audio back in Multimedia(My Audios). I posted this in another thread and someone said DataPilot supports the LG AX300, but it's not free though.
