If your gonna do ringtones on an i9 Boost Mobile This is what I figured out:
You can not use ***** or Webjal if it does work it will work onc and never connect again.
1. Format a 1gb or up to 8gb Micro memory card
2. Load all your MP3's in the "AUDIO" folder ( 25 - 30 Seconds )
3. Go to Mediacenter to Card "AUDIO"
4. Go down to ringtone and hit MENU and select COPY to phone and it's now in your ringtones section.
BUT: maybe its me BUT I can not do this for the i9 NEXTEL?
The phone sees the ringtone on CARD AUDIO and I think it will not let me copy to phone or if it does? It does not appear in ringtone section?
i was able to copy sounds to the phone, but they didn't show as ringers.
webjal doesn't work and that other app works like 1 in 23 tries... but it does work.
I bought the GBU421 bluetooth 2.0 usb micro receiver, installed the software, paired the computer to the phone and dragged the file I wanted to transfer to the Motorola Phone OBEX Object Push icon, accepted the file on the phone, voila, done. I tried a ringtone I made from a trimmed song 40 seconds, 2 channels, 44.1KHz, 16bit, 192kbps (CBR). Showed up in ringtones and played fine.

I just tried that but it doesn't seem to work, is there a step or something you're leaving out? I know it's possible because i did something simular and it worked but I just can't get the mp3's to assign as the ringtone anymore.

Hmmm, you're using a Sprint i9, correct? the boost mobile i9 maybe different I'm thinking.
Does any know if the Sprint i9's are easier to use with ringtones?

Yeah, i'm using sprint/nextel i9. another note to add on my post, if none of the ringtones are working after you load them on through bluetooth, you should try turning off your phone and restarting it before you try anything else.
Snoop79, what software are you using to upload the ringtone? I just bought a MSI Star Key 2.0 V2, bluetooth receiver to try this and it came with a software called BlueSoleil which DOES NOT work with the i9. You can send contacts/images from the phone to the pc, but nothing from PC to the phone. Any help anyone?
