you cannot use just any mp3 file as a ringer in a nextel phone. it has to be the proper format to be accepted by the phone. i cannot remember the exact format for mp3 files, but i know it's posted here somewhere. maybe someone will post it again. try changing the bitrate and experiment until it works for you.
