15 Day / 30 Minute Return / Exchange Policy - Begins July 19th
Hey Guys,
There's already a thread on it, but here is the final confirmed information for the new policy beginning tomorrow.
Customers will have 15 days to return or exchange their handsets and cancel their service. Customers must not have exceeded 30 minutes of usage on their account within this time frame. For monthly subscribers, the 30 minutes will be based on account usage (calls to 611 will not count). For prepaid subscribers, the 30 minutes will be based on the lifetimer of the handset.
As always, customers will be allowed to exchange their handset once during the 15 day period but the 30 minute rule applies from day one and will not reset upon handset exchange.
If a customers phone is defective within the first 15 days, no matter the usage on the account, customers will receive a brand new handset exchange at their original channel of purchase.
If the customer returning their handset chooses to deactivate their service, the customer themselves must speak with customer relations
Customers can't return the handset if they've exceeded either the 15 day threshold or the 30 minute threshold
If a customer purchased a handset or service before July 19th, old rules apply

30 minutes is a ridiculous policy. Most people use 30 minutes easily within a few days, thus making the 15 days effectively useless. However, since the monthly policy is based on account not lifetimer, this should work to circumvent this ridiculous policy.
1. Buy fido phone on month to month
2. Invest in a small $ pre-paid card
3. Use the pre-paid sim for the first 15 days to make sure you are satisfied.
