V32.2.001 released for N95-4 (NAM)

Well maybe the heading should have been V32.2.001 released for N95-4 (SAM) since it's for the Brazillian version.

I have no idea what this upgrade includes, maybe one of our Brazilian users, if any, will let us know.

Still no re-release of V31.2.008 for the generic codes.

One would hope Nokia would have released this for everyone with the current issues going on with the N95-4 V31 software. Anyways, here's to hoping

Interesting. It's good to know that Nokia is still giving support to old devices

Yet another spit in the face to N95-3 consumers.

well its mainly because they literally screwed up every v31 release for the N95-4 . Hopefully this will spread to the other product codes

N95 was promoted heavily by local carriers as little as a year ago, and is probably selling fairly well there. Hence the updates on firmware. N95-3 probably sold in the tens of thousands AT THE VERY BEST, so its no suprise it has not gotten firmware updates.

That's bogus though and a spit in the face to all Nokia customers. You're saying we should only buy the most "popular" sub-model of Nokia's phones? Why are you defending Nokia? Do they have you on their payroll? What does it benefit you to make this claim?

The only big difference between the N95-2/4 and N95-1/3 is the screen size. Apparently I've been told time and time again that Nokia spends thousands of man hours customizing these firmwares for each individual model and you can't put one on another. Ridiculous! You can strip the plastic shells off the phones and see the same exact PCBs. I'm half tempted to spend a few weeks reverse engineering Nokia's updater software.

Symbian's number one problem is that it is not a portable operating system. No OS should be limited on a per capacitor basis!

Mooninite, so your argument is that they don't do it simply because they don't care, are stupid, forgot, or out of their hatred of America or some such thing? So THAT'S your rational and well founded argument? REALLY?!

Where did I never state anything even remotely close to being about "hatred of America"?

Your rebuttal is to make up something I didn't say and blow a bunch of sarcastic steam at me?

I did not say you said that. So what is your point then? And you are the one who accused me of defending Nokia etc. Etc.

This is why I jumped ship to BlackBerry. I couldn't be happier.

My N95-3 was a great piece of hardware but I'm sorry, for $700 brand new I expected more support. I should have just bought the damn Euro version.

You should have bought an N95-4 instead of downgrading (IMO) to a BB Curve.

I'm an N95-3 owner myself, but I can't really figure out what it is that is a pressing concern with the phone that needs "support".

The V21 update was big, but I haven't heard anything compelling about the V3x firmware.

Why would the lack of an incremental upgrade prompt you to get rid of the phone????

The bigger issue is why do people expect FW updates for a phone that's 2 years old? Users just cry when other models of their phone get a FW update and theirs does not, despite the fact that maybe it's just that their model didn't require one.

just realized that there is a PTT(push-to-talk) feature in this new firmware. I have absolutely no idea on how to use this. Any thoughts? Also noticed that the phone is a bit quicker and video recording has seen a slight improvement, but that may be just my opinion
