Hi everyone! I can't make my own ring tones for my phone, I had different format downloaded to my phone but I can't set them as my ring tone. Is the only way to have the ring tones is to buy them from Rogers. Any idea how to make custom ring tones? What format?
Thank you

Google a program called BitPim. It's free and supports a number of LG models (but not all). It has a feature that allows you to customize MP3s and transfer them to the phone to be used as ringtones. You will also need to have a data cable for your phone.
I'm not familiar with Rogers, but several carriers block MP3s from being sent via SMS/MMS so that you are pretty much forced to purchase ringtones from them.
Thank you for replying! Yes I had that program but i couldn't find mine LG Secret in that list. Is there anyway I can use different phone names for my Secret in this program?

You can try selecting a similar handset to the Secret and see if that works. There was no direct support for the VX5500, but the Chocolate 3 settings worked for my phone. Perhaps another member of the forum has more experience with getting the Secret to work with BitPim.
