My old phone used to vibrate 3 times when I recieved a text and it was in silence mode, the Env3 only once. I need to silence my phone at work, but am allowed to communicate via text with my wife and kids, but always miss the texts since the Env3 only vibrates one time. Any way to change it?

Have you tried a longer ringer? I know with some of the LGs (starting with the Voyager, I guess?) the vibrate was 'in sync' with the beat of your ringer. So try a longer ringtone for texts and see if that works.
That sounds kinda logical, I'll try it out. But then I will have the issue of a text alert that is annoying long when I go back to normal mode. I might have to live with less vibrating I guess.
You probably mean all of this in vibrate/manner mode, not actual silent mode (since even vibration doesn't happen in that mode), right?
Aside from possibly doing something with the vibration itself (which is generally not really something you can do on a lot of phones) have you also tried enabling the reminder for messages and set it something low like every few minutes so that if you do miss it at first maybe you'll notice it when one of the reminders goes off a few minutes later (not that great of course, but at least something that might help a bit).

This is the route I decided to go. I've never used the remind feature on phones before, but it's actually been pretty useful, even while in normal mode.
