"My Number: Unknown Number"

My sim card doesn't recognize my cell phone number or something. It says "My Number: Unknown Number" Anyone know if they will fix this soon? Or should I call in? This is on a BB9700

As far as I recall, the 'my number' field on your phone is for informational purposes only, and the reason it's displayed as unknown is that Bell pushes that entry once upon activation of the simcard. If your phone is off/out of network when the entry gets pushed to the device, it won't populate the 'my number' field. The network won't send the entry again unless manually performed by TECH.

Doesn't affect the usability of your device though.

first day new network with lots of people signing up and switching hsdpa there's gonna be a few issues, they will work it out. You can run all the tests you want with employees but nothing equals the real thing.

Mine works now.

Try taking out the battery, wait a minute or two, then put the battery back in.

it will fix itself.. mine had the same problem.. just give it sometime.. and than go to Option -> Advanced Options -> Host Routing Table -> and Register ..

and than create an account on http://bell.blackberry.com and once your phone is connected to the blackberry internet service than your sim will recognize your # properly..
