Looking for a enV3 headphone adapter

First off yes I did search. No results found.

I have had my enV3 since June. I was told that an adapter would be out soon after release. It is 5 months later and there is still none available. I have tried the company store where I bought my phone and 2 local stores. One local store ordered me an adapter and it took 2 months to come in. It was the wrong one, backwards. 3.5mm male plug to 2.5mm female plug. I ordered one off ebay. It didnt work either. It was only a 3 pole not a 4 pole, so sound only came out of one side.

Why did they release a phone with a music player as one of its main features and then cripple it by not being able to hook up decent headphones?

Pretty much any (4 pole) 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter in various stores would work. Try Amazon online as they certainly have a few, as do various other general electronic or mobile accessory web sites.
