Need advise with plan..Please help..

Hi Everyone,

First of all I like to say that I'm not TEK SAVVY so I need some help with the situation i'm in right now. I really appreciate some suggestions.

My 3 year Fido agreement is over and I'm in desperate need of a phone (my phone just broke and I'm using a really old one that's driving me crazy!)
I have a student plan with Fido that is not offered anymore. The specificts are:

250 weekday minutes
unlimited incoming, evenings and weekends (after 7 i think)
100 canadian long distance
caller ID and I pay $35 SAF included.

I dont know if it's a good plan right now and whether i can negotiate something better.

I looked at all phones that fido offers and they're not very good except the IPHONE. But I dont know if i want an iphone. I dont really have a use for a data plan unless it's a really good deal i'm not going to get one. I want a smart phone with a QWERTY keyboard and WIFI and that's all I really care about. I also dont want to pay an arm and a leg to buy the phone separately. I also dont mind taking over someone else's plan if they're due for an upgrade. So my question is, what's the best thing to do? does anybody have any suggestions on how I can negotiate a good plan and be able to get a decent phone? that almost seems impossible these days!!

Thanks for reading and please reply if you have any suggestions..

-Sara

Take a look in this thread: http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1558419

All retention and special offers are discussed in that thread. If you do not find what you are looking for, then post your question in there.
