Was able to get this running on both my E71 and N95 8GB. After downloading from Ovi directly on my E71 I loaded up Ovi Store on my N95, went to My Stuff and downloaded it again with no issues.

App started fine on E71. On N95 the initial start was super slow. Once I restarted the app on the N95 updates came a decent rate and it was usable. My initial impression on the N95 was unusable until I restarted the app and now no issues.

As Candyman said, it's a start. Give more functionality than the mobile site, looks to be missing notifications and I need to play with it a bit more. Would love this native versus java.

Yah grabbed it at work. Its not too bad. Like others have said, its a start. But honestly, why has it taken this long? A facebook app should have been out a long time ago.

Darn, I don't have an E71/E72 so I can't do that trick Can I trick ovi store into thinking that my N85 is an E71?

Can someone nice here sign up a new Nokia account with their E71 and PM me the ovi store login and pw so I can download this fb app on my n85 too?

Couldnt you just go there and tell it to send it to your mobile or use the send to friend function?

Is this the same (Facebook) app that you get for upgrading to V300?

That was not an app in v.300 firmware. That was just a fancy looking icon that linked up to the facebook mobile webpage.

Get the User-agent switcher add-on to your desktop firefox browser. Set your user agent to E71. Go to store.ovi.com and search for facebook. click on the download link (you'll download some weird file, but ignore that) Go to Ovi store on your phone, go to My Stuff and download facebook on your S60 device

I googled the user-agent string of the E71: Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.2; U; Series60/3.1 NokiaE71-1/100.07.57; Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 ) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413

I used the same trick to get Brightlight, even though this app is only for s60v5, it works on my N85 too Heard that it doesn't work on FP1 devices though.

I think I can get any apps I want now form the Ovi store Hope Nokia will never fix this loophole. It's not like the store has that many great apps anyway.

Trying to download, but the Ovi Store won't let me log in. It just times out after I enter my username/password, and gives me the message "The operation could not be completed due to an error."

I would figure that a basic requirement of an online app store is that it be up every now and then.
