We have two lines of service on a Premier family plan with Media Max 200 bundle (200 msgs/"unlimited" (Ha!!!) "MediaNet"). We've been out of contract for six or eight months now and have been getting nothing to show for it.
So I logged into OLAM to see what it would take to upgrade to 2x iPhones/iPhone data/iPhone 200 msgs. But in multiple trys on multiple computers/IE browser versions/OS versions over the past week I've NEVER gotten everything set to checkout. I can always get to the "Upgrade Phone" page. Things go south from there. Sometimes I never can get the page to select an iPhone to show. Other times I get that far and click on Add To Cart and the browser goes off and loads a page that looks the same and nothing else happens. Sometimes clicking Add To Cart a second (or maybe the third or fourth or...) adds one phone for one line to the cart. From the cart at that point I can add the iPhone data plan reasonably reliably. But I've never gotten to see the Add Features page show any contents. And I've never figured out how to do the same for the second line.
Is it just me? Or is the AT&T web site really just not good enough to do this? If I call CS to do this will I get the same pricing as I would get on the web site if it actually worked?
(I'm also pricing droids on VZW. Their web site seems to work a LOT better. At the corporate discounts, they are running about $15 more per month. They don't offer a 550 minute family plan (we leave minutes on the table every month even at 550) only 700. And their data plan is a little more expensive. But they are offering $50 vs. AT&T apparently wanting to charge $18/line--though I've never gotten that far. And their website actually works. Seems an odd way for AT&T to retain customers.)

The price of the iPhone is exactly the same no matter which sales channel you choose (telesales, online, At&t store, Apple store). There may be an online limit of how many iPhones you can order. At&t still offers the Family Talk 550 but you can't get it online, only at a store or through telesales. The price for unlimited data on Verizon for the Droid is the same as for the iPhone on At&t @ $30 per line.

Yah. I know the iPhone pricing is the same. That's not the issue. The issue is all of the plan/feature changes involved...
Oh, and if I were going to do the upgrade, then getting it done becomes the issue. It's not at all clear I can get it done via OLAM. It never seems to get far enough without just stopping doing anything or sitting there waiting for the site to respond.

All ATT really needs is a page that says "You bonked our site sorry to waste your time please call xxx-xxx-xxxx". Error pages have been around as long as there has been the net.

It looks like others are confusing your issue with the programing of the site and ATT policy.

I already have the 550 so I don't think that's an issue unless that's what's breaking the OLAM upgrade pages. And the data plans are not $30 for either after factoring in the discounts. We're $22.50 from Blue (near as I can tell given all of the problems getting this figured out on the AT&T web site... Which is why I was posting...) and $23.99 from Red.

You have to select the iPhone data plan before you can get to the checkout.

Yes I would expect that to be true. As noted, half the time I can't even get there to add the data plan. And when I do get there I never get to the page to add featuress like iPhone Messaging 200.
