Lightbulb The Complete Guide to Make Custom Ring Tones to V60c using keypad

Here it is folks, the detail steps to program custom ring tones to your V60c without SMS nor cables. Just the composer within the phone will do.

1) find the song in RTTTL or midi.
If the song is in midi, use Nok2Phone from

http://www.ringtonecity.com/

It tranlsates the midi to RTTTL format. Go to http://www.ringtones4all.com/ for tons of midi files. They also have them in RTTTL formats

2) convert RTTTL to keypress
Use the software from Coding Workshop to do the translation

http://www.codingworkshop.com/ringtones/

3) key in the notes as shown
Just key in the sequence and save it.

Voila! You have your custom ring tones.

Thanks Tatewaki! This is exactly what I need. I've been having problems finding ringtones to manually enter on my P280. It says it supports the P280 so I hope it works.

The ringtone converter works great! I've got tons of great ringtones now. It also supports the V60, V66, V120, P280 and the 270C.

You are welcome. I've been finding ways to put ring tones in there, and finally found out how. So I figure I'd share that with this forum.

I'm finding ways to send tones by SMS. All the key punching, though it's free, it's easy to screw up and you had to start over. It also takes some time. I know someone posted here for this SMS method, but my ICQ cannot send SMS properly. I have a SMS gateway for Nokia that probably will not work with v60c.

If anyone has any insight on this (mostly on the SMS gateway since I have most required software tools), that'd be great!

all the # does is skip for the next letter. It doesn't actually put anything on the screen. Its like if you let a letter sit for too long, the curser will go on to be ready for the next entry. Sorry its confusing, just type in that stuff in "my tones" and it will work.
