I don't know how soon the people taking part in the promotion you linked will get theirs, but I'm pretty sure it will be available everywhere by the 26th at the latest.
That's a good question about why there is not more available on Ebay. Maybe HP put a very tight leash on pre-production units.

I at an HP expo at the Hyatt today, and between HP and TMO, there were about 10-15 of these floating around. They had a drawing for one and the winner was told they would ship a "production model" to him.

The HP site says $599 for the device. Someone posted the rate plan offering at $79.99 which includes 1000 N/W and Unlimited Internet and HotSpot access. Here's hoping TMO will offer a $20 HotSpot/Internet Add-on.

so, can you confirm the date when we get our email invite to purchase the unit? is it really only 2-days before it's on store shelves?
I held the dummy unit today in my TMobile store in Colorado. It is very much like holding a 2215, almost the same size. I even gave it a pocket test. It fit just fine in the front pocket of my jeans.
This store was not about to sell me a unit, though. They made is sound like I was privileged just to see the dummy brought out secretly from the back.
Has anybody heard yet about official T-Mobile pricing for existing customers? Will it even initially be available for anyone but new activations? Any thoughts on rebates being introduced soon (or will the sheer demand make such offers unnecessary)?
