usually such problems can be solved by powercycling the phone so it registers on the network. maybe it is as simple as that. but i am sure the tech division in cingular can help u.
I am in Houston and can make outgoing calls but can not receive incomming calls. I tried calling it from my landline and I get a recording saying my number has been disconected. Also the GPRS indicator is gone.
EDIT: Well, it appears I can't make outgoing calls now either.
it seems that all the Cigular phones in the Texas market can not be reached by anyone from any number. I'm alos now hearing that they can not make out going calls now.
I called 1-866-CINGULAR and it says there is a network outage. I am on hold right now and am going to check and see if they know when this will be fixed.

Glad I'm not the only one. I live in Austin, Texas and I haven't had any service in my area for the past 20 minutes. Man I wish I had bought an land line.
well its not like this is RI ( not offent RI it just a small state) how many customers are in the Dallas Market or for that matter Texas... this should be intresting. to see what comes of this. How do you explain an entire state outage.

North Texas, South Texas, Missouri / Kansas, Wisconsin / Illinois, MI / IN, Arkansas / Oklahoma- degraded voice quality, customers are unable to make/recieve calls.

I'm currently in Houston, Tx. My cell phone number is with AT&T Wireless, but my phone is registered on the Cingular Wireless network (Orange side). Calls to and from my phone work fine.
