If only these types of things were dependable indicators of phone releases...
Looking at the rebate form, it seems like you have to bundle a data plan? Seems absurd considering you don't have to do that to get a MPx220 or N6620 or any other normal smartphone.
I guess Cingular knows this MS Smartphone might actually work

Cingular has gone on-record stating they intend to launch the SMT 5600, and that it currently is in the carrier device approval process (aparrently AT&T's customers money is valid, but their device approvals aren't)...

Plus users' experience obviously showing how much better this device is than the MPx220 to begin with...
me too. I really liked the 220, but couldn't get past the small screen and strange displaying of dark colors ( black in pictures showed strange artifacts- my wife's hair looked like it had Leggos in it ) I loved the unlocked 5600 I had, despite the slightly dimmer screen, but didn't want an unsupported phone with ATT branding. I'll pick up the 5600 if the treo 650 doesn't work out for me.

Really? No joke? I never would have figured that out if you hadn't told me.
Since the rebate form listed Baltimore/DC only, and since it showed an effective date of 1/2/05, I thought it worth a try. I wonder if anyone has checked a retail store in the area...
