I started this thread cause everyone is ΧΧΧΧΧing and whining about all the n00bs asking questions that have been asked over and over again.
But now I have grown tired of all the ΧΧΧΧΧing and whining from both sides and HOFO has turned into Howard Springer!

Actually I think this is a very nice idea. When a n00b asks a common question, you can just point him to this thread. If he then is too lazy to read this, just ignore him.
Ofcourse I've been a n00b too (wasn't even signed up 3 months ago) but by SEARCHING and READING I've learned a lot without asking questions that were asked a million times before.
So to save everyone a lot of time by making this thread is a good idea IMHO.
me being a noob posting my 3th post here things this thread should be a sticky.
Just one sugestion:
copy the links people are posting the the first post
it isn't easy when this thread is becoming 20pages and still have to search in the thread
I've made a pretty good flash/flex guide.
I actually made it for myself some time ago in Dutch, but just translated it to English and updated it a bit. I'm sure a lot of n00bs would find it usefull.
If anyone is interested I can mail it tomorrow (going to bed now) to someone who can host it.

Difference between flash and flexes in the following thread...
...you MUST click on "Widcomm Driver" in the green menu on the left in order to access the guide.
The links to version 1.4.x of the BT software plus a patch *IS* contained elsewhere in the guide so look for it.
How to transfer games via BT (applies to v525 AND v600, and probably others)
How to remove and then add Moto USB drivers...
Control -> Panel -> Phones & Modems -> Modem [tab] ->Click on "Motorola USB Modem" -> Remove and answer yes to any questions.
Now when you plug in your phone to use with any app and it tells you it's found new hardware... ** ALWAYS ** point to the same folder where you extracted the USB drivers... even if it says it found a different piece of hardware, it might not necessarily need that driver but Windows will ignore it if it doesn't so just point it there anyway ok?
How to check the production date of your v600. Pull off the top cover and look for
a small white sticker with some numbers, it will be the date in the following format YYMMDD.
In the following thread, scroll down until you see a large pic of a v600 to show
you where the sticker should be...
