Fido Who-called... annoying option!

Anyone else annoyed by this option?
I added the $11 value pack which inludes this option and now everytime i miss a call, i get a text voice message notice and a text telling me who called... even though i can just check my call list!! I know its great for when you turn your phone off, but that rarely happens for me. I called them to remove it but they can't unless i remove the entire valule pack! I guess i'll have to deal with it.

I beleve they can disable that one portion. CSR won't be able to do it though. You'll need to get to the Network Team to do that.

I had name display which didin't work on my phone and got that disabled...

Not true! A lot of CSR's do know how to disable the option from the VP. If the CSR doesn't know, he will ask Tech Support and they will tell him.

I agree - this is among the most annoying options ever.

And I have Fidopro, and all of a sudden name display works for me now.I never added it.

I think it is cool, but stupid that it still sends a txt msg even though I can check my call list. Just send me the txt if my phone is turned off.

Exactly that. I had the option turned off for that reason. Can they not fix it so that you get a text ONLY if your phone was off/out of service area?

Isn't that what it used to do? It might be my imagination, but I could have sworn thats how it used to work

When it first launched, that was what everybody assumed. We never thought they'd give us a text for every single call we missed, even if we had call display. Talk about redundant.

Well.. i guess it would be good to add WhoCalled if you didn't have CallerID display, then you can know the number to call back if you missed a call. Does WhoCalled work without Call Display?

Yea, I too thought it wouldn't notify me if my phone was on and missed a call.

extremely annoying feature.
just tell them to 'exclude' the option from your pack. they should know what to do. it basically doesnt send you the txts. waaaay better that way.

I'm not sure, but when I disabled my call forwarding to my voicemail (accidentally) I NEVER received a whocalled message. Couldn't figure out why until after a week or 2 a friend of mine complained he couldn't get my voicemail, so I reenabled the forwarding and sure enough, every missed call since I get a who called message as well. Wierd how that works out.

I would like it disabled, just too lazy to bother with calling in about it

Like partyfavor said, you need to have them EXCLUDE the feature.

Make sure you use the word exclude and keep calling them back...

WhoCalled definitely shouldn't kick in unless there's no signal/phone is off. It's annoying when it notifies me of a missed call I see in my call list.
