Supprise there is friend from oversea visiting my site, and which is mainly in chinese.

OKie. I will tell you what is happening with UBiQUiO 601 and imte K-Jar
Actuall there are the same factor device made from TFW.
Just slightly different with both devide. U601 is all round shape and K-jar is just look like a NDSLite. with Corner.

There reason why I had pulled the image down is because of imate not happy that I disclose the photo so early. But I saw the device is ready for Mass Production stage. Not the gentlemen mention up there as Mock up stage.

Anyway. once imate have the official launch or press release. I wll put the photo up right away.

Mean while, you may see the photo i sent to my friend PDAFrance.com
His photo still up there.

Actually, I think the k-jar, (pictured here http://www.pdafrance.com/articles/n...rss.php?id=7554 ) looks like a fantastic design (not a fan of the specs though), but then again I love the big clunky Universal. I think these kind of data-centric devices appeal almost exclusively to a data-first kind of user...

Thanks for the images julianfong!

I agree. The K-Jar looks sweet, though its specs are crap (no 3G! no EDGE!).

Still waiting for more info on the Omni...

I think they could be okay, but they're definitely going to have to crank up the specs a notch to compete on the same level at HTC -- unless i-mate expects to compete aggressively on price.

I-mate's beta-testing using TFW as an OEM for now. Based on market response, they will decide whether to stick with them or jump ship. There's also news that they might start designing and manufacturing themselves (which i don't see happening).

Design is not bad, but Spec is worse than other devices.

Far as i know from my friend. There is stll few device coming up from TFW for i-mate. But anyway, for me personally. Is a good thing to have more manufacture to develop windows mobile device. Not just HTC...hTC or htc

For K-Jar , I have played for a while. The finishing is piano black. Look fine to me. And the performance of course is not super fast. but looks similar with Htc prophet (O2 Xda neo, Dopod 818Pro)to me. Can compare with HTC universal, K-Jar is quite slim. But is really look very Nintendo NDSLite to me
