Wanted: Boring normal ringtone for Pearl

Call me old or out of it but I can't stand the music ringtones. I just want some decent phone beeps or tones. The ones that come with the Pearl aren't very good. All my searches for ringtones are about getting a rap MP3 onto your phone. Is there a good source of boring ringtones out there?

If you're looking for MP3 ringtones that sound like a regular phone, you could try the ringtones from here: www.beepzoid.com/old-phones/. They all sound like traditional, non-electronic, brrring-brrring-brrring phones.

Those ringtones are great, but - and there's always a but - they are only one ring each, so the phone plays one ring and then thinks its a new tone, vibrates again and then rings again. So they work okay if you just want a ring, but if you want a vibe first you get vibe/silence - ring - vibe/silence - ring. Any solutions?

Some of the ringtones last longer than one ring (try playing them as MP3 files on a computer). For example, Ringtone #13, Ringtone #14, and Ringtone #15 are two rings each. And the Swiss and Chinese phone ringtones run 44 seconds long with multiple rings.

I don't have a Pearl, but I assume it plays the ringtone for a set number of seconds, and then restarts the sound (or vibrate-ringtone cycle), even if the sound hasn't finished playing.

Maybe the Pearl is introducing the silence as part of the vibrate-ringtone cycle. Does the silence occur with any other MP3 ringtones you may have downloaded (as opposed to the built-in ringtones)? And do you hear a silence if you have the Pearl set to ring only (as opposed to vibrate+ring)?

I found a ringtone on the Pearl that's pretty normal sounding..

The classic-ringer... reminds me of an old school telephone ringer.
