Has anyone tried this model of stereo bluetooth headphones. They are the "in-the-ear" earbud type, which stay in the ear better than standard earbuds, and provide better sound. The receiver, microphone, and controls are in a clip you attach to your collar or lapel.
Amazon has them for $99.95. Availability, however, is listed as "usually ships within one to two months". It appears that they don't have them in stock, and do not expect them soon. There is one customer review, however, so I assume they have had them in stock before.
This is what I'm using, purchased from the Sony Store. I think there very good, but would return them in a second if there's something better. I find the Clip is very chinsy and wish it had a "necklace" band.

What do you mean by "chinsy"?
Of course "something better" is in the eyes/ears of the beholder. What do you not like about this unit, other than the clip?
How is the sound quality? Convenience of use?
I think Sony-Ericsson does have a similar model, with the control unit hanging from your neck, instead of on a clip. The HBH-DS970. Anyone here tried one of those?
I think that I'm going to get either the hbh-ds970 instead because the dr-bt10cx reviever is bulky( in shape, not size) and the clip doesn't secure it well. The only advantage of the dr-bt10cx is it's 11hours of Talk/Music time.
The other unit I'm considering is the Jabra bt320s but I cant find one to try, so I'm not quite sure of it's sound Quality.

Did the clip fall off your clothing? How did it not "secure it"?
Where did you get one from to try out? How was the stereo sound quality?

Clip doesn't fall off, it's just not very SECURE - moves around and.... Stereo Sound Quality is the best I've tested thats wireless, but not close compared to wired ones.
I wonder why Amazon lists availabilliity as "one or two months"? Yet, you can put one in your shopping cart. (Unusual, to be able to put something in one's shopping cart that is not in stock, and won't be for a month or two.)
Are they available from other retailers now? If so, why would Amazon not be able to get them for months?
Anyways as you see from the pics of the unit, the clip is around the middle of the unit, but it's a touch top heavy which causes the unit to move around alot - sorta teeter/totters on the clip. Other than that I've got no real issues with it.
What controls are on the dongle? I saw this in the store and I couldn't see any controls what so ever.
I have a weird question. I have an Aux input on the front of my wifes car radio. Wouldn't it be a nifty setup to snag one of these sets of headphones, clip the buds off, sauder up a 3.5mm jack to the end and plug the unit into the aux input. I'd think this would be a nifty way to get handsfree bluetooth into a headunit. I realize you wouldn't have auto switching or anything like that, but it would be a relatively cheap and painless setup.
I realize there are a ton of, "Why would you want to do that?" questions but really i'm just interested if it would work. Or am I completely exposing my noob status?

Thank you for mentioning the Sony-Ericsson. I was getting ready to buy the Sony DR-BT10CX but I like how the SE HBH-DS970 has a caller ID screen, which is really convenient. As someone else mentioned, the battery life on the SE is a concern (as is the cost: up to an extra $50, depending on where you look).

Decisions, decisions...
I've decided to keep the DR-BT10CX as i'm quite picky about sound quality and it's the best I've tried so far. Living with it for a while has proven well, I don't mind the lack of disply or track controls, so I'm good for now. The one thing about the unit that really shines is it's very good sounding, with almost no hissing at all!
Also this unit is a Genuine Sony, not a SE piece, which is possibly the reason for the better sound.
Just wondering, someone made mention of it I think... Is the sound quality on this as good as the wired setup? Or is there some hissing, or "air" heard due to the bluetooth part of it?
