Smile Motorola Q2/GSM Q Live Picture

Hey, have had this picture for awhile. This is a real life shot of the rumored Q2/PRO. Not much info. My friend just told me it was "fast", so I'm betting it has HSDPA/UMTS. It is next to a Motorola Q for Sprint despite the color. Keys are also rumored to be much more easy to press, and the device is comfortable. Also the picture was taken with a Q2/QPRO(whatever code name they're using now). Nice quality. No more specs at the moment. Please do not repost this image without linking to this post.

Do you know when the expansion of the Q family is coming, Cool? A PPC variant and what not to fully take on the Treo line.

well the black jack is pretty much a chase after the black q. Any idea when this is comming out? I was planning on getting a black q in August when my upgrade time comes. By then they shoudl have worked out all software issues.

Still fugly, and still looks just as wide as the original Q. Makes it feel like a brick in my hand. Was hoping they could make it bit more narrow like the BlackJack. Hopefully more styling updates to come..

Hopefully Motorola addresses the Q's truely deplorable cheap feel.

Well unless my eyes lie.. it does look slightly slimmer.. by a mm or so.. I agree the first Q was cheap feeling.. I played with a proto a while back.

i think it looks nice. i wouldn't say its a copy of another phone thats non-Moto because this phone clearly looks like its based off of the original Q. and let's not forget, Moto made the first slim smartphone so I don't see the whole "copy-cat" thing going on with this Q2.
I hope this phone doesn't have that "cheap feel". It looks a little more solid than the previous one.
Does anybody know if this thing runs on the new Crossbow OS?

Questions are as follows:

1. Will we see a CDMA counterpart?

2. Why the change to the BB-esque keyboard?

3. Is it thicker than OG Q?

I don't know if I like that keyboard, one thing I enjoyed about playing with the Q was the keys were spaced out nicely and evenly. I've never tried a keyboard that was bunched up like that.

1. Yes, another Q will be announced in February.

2. Don't know, and this is a prototype.

3. Not thicker than OG Q.

As far as OS information we will have to wait for Feb.

Cool6324,

Thanks for this! Any word on whether the Q2 has a scroll wheel? If the two phones stacked on the left are Q2's as well then it looks like it doesn't.

(I personally think the original Q looks much nicer...)

It doesn't have a scroll wheel to my knowledge . The original Q looks much sleeker IMO.
