The Samsung A706 is on the cusp of launching.
The first Video phone in Canada
Vision plans are also launching to match the exciting offering on this phone so stay tuned.

*Golden Horseshoe region currently with applicible Vision plan
Video calling plans are going to start at $5 for 50 minutes (from what I've read). And won't this actually be the first Video phone in North America? Mobile TV is looking like it might actually be worth it for customers finally (unltd. viewing of 25 channels), and there will be some good value packs coming out as well.
Have you heard anything about the Vison price plans yet Treatz? The website still isn't up.

Excellent, but does this still mean its going to be sometime before we in the west see HSDPA?
I heard November for Vancouver, but don't take my word for it. That's when the major HSDPA expansion is planned for, and it damn well better be in my area! (SWO)

$5 for 50 minutes is actually pretty decent in my opinion. Video calling isn't something anyone will likely be doing a lot of, so 50 is enough and $5 is affordable.

^ can you get this plan just for the WAP? i.e. it's the same price as the Navigate 2MB plan but easily outshines it.
can you give more details on pricing -- like, with actual prices? dyin' here! cutie at the Fido kiosk is throwing me goodies ...
