Santa came early to my house this morning. He wasn't driving a sleigh and wearing a red suit. He was driving a FedEx truck and wearing a FedEx shirt.
Its charging right now, and I am reading the setup guide, more pics later.
Congrats!!!
Man I am going out to hunt down the FedEx guy !!!!

So what is the official accessories list on this thing? Cradle? Extra battery?
Well I tried to order it, and was able too, but I didn't since I couldn't get it cheap like everyone else....The guy said there was no MIR at all, that the 2yr price was $499, -$100 for ADD brought it to $399. Thru corporate I was able to get the 2yr price at $398, and total to $289 w/ADD. Not good enough. I am a new customer so maybe I don't get any extra NE2 rebate, but I thought the 2yr contract price would be the same as the same as the NE2 price? Also I don't want data, so if I get the ADD and cancle the data later, don't I still have to pay for the data, thus it is no benifit.
He tried to sell me the i760 for $399 for 2yr which included the MIR. I'll call back later and hope for a better rep who will give me a deal.
You should try being me, I am the second line on my wife's account. I'm going to get raped when I buy it.

Well I did mention that my wife had a plan and we would be getting a family plan, maybe next time I'll skip that whole thing, and deal with combining the accounts after I the phone.

The NE2 discount (which could be $100 or $50 depending on your plan) is a discount in addition to the discount for signing a 2-year contract.
For example, my wife just got a VX8550 chocolate. 2-year contract = $179, less $50 rebate, less $100 NE2 = $29 (plus the dang CA sales tax on over $300 list price).

I was finally able to order. I got overnight shipping and mine should arrive tomorrow. I am excited. I have been waiting 12 months for this phone. Here is what I paid:
2-year price $499
NE2 -$100
ADD -$100
Rebate -$50
Total $249 before tax and shipping.
Make sure you ask the rep to get you an instant rebate. Mine was not going to at first and I pressed him on it and he found out how to do it. (Maybe I can still send in a paper one with UPC and reciept)
Also since the Fedex shipping is free the overnight is only about $12.99.
Congrats to those that got theirs today. I am sorry I doubted.
When everyone is trying to order the phone, what phone# are you using? Everytime I try to call the business line- they bounce me to the consumer division and proceed to tell me that the phone is not available yet. Has anyone been able to order the phone that has not gone through a business account?

According to how the site handled other PDA phones I think this is my price:
2-year price $499
NE2 -$50
ADD -$50
Rebate -$50
Total $349 before tax and shipping. Sucks being the second line.
Darn California Taxes!!!!
What about Ckeegan whos says he got his for $199!!!!
Not sure if thats out the door or what,
cuz
I work for a large 14,000+ employee company who uses crackberries, aircards, and thousands of standard voice plans. Corporate pricing is $249 +tax, retail is listed as $499 - $100 NE2 - $100Add unlimited data - $50 corporate discount (no MIR with corporate discount) but the guy told me if I went the other route retail minus all discounts = $299 then get the $50 MIR I am in the same boat....so I took the quick discount...maybe I will be able to sneek the MIR also.. we will see...still no FedEx tracking info yet...
I live in California, happened to be in Colorado over Thanksgiving...mom got a new phone in Denver and was not charged the crazy taxes on list price....if you can, make a run for the border!

Are you using a data plan or wifi?
Seem "firm"? Like it's not going to fall apart?
Should make a video playing with it and post it on youtube or something...
I submitted your post to engadget btw. It will probably go up soon.
EDIT: I can also order it over the vzw drones on the normal verizon website.

The back battery cover is very thin plastic and flimsy, I would not dare drop this phone. Other than the battery cover, it feels well made.I would definitely get the insurance.
And I was using EVDO with internet explorer
