Arrow *OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N82 (RM-313)

Folks,

I hardly call it "Exclusive" or "Just-in" but when I look up a parts, inventory database, I stumbled upon on an very intriguing item:

0780169: RJ-189 SOLDERING JIG, N82

So time to dig up other cross-reference like at FCC filing site.

Cool!

And no, never had a chance to deal with Tessco; I'm more of a Mouser and Digi-Key guy.

Appreciate the update but do we really have to have a new thread for every single new tidbit of info?

Arrow *OFFICIAL THREAD: N82 (RM-313)

http://www.engadget.com/2007/10/26/...nd-gps-spotted/

There it is, the first spy shot of Nokia's N82. Don't remember this Espoo candybar? No worries, the last update was way back in May when news was first leaked. Back then, the N82 was rumored to pack quad-band GSM, 2100MHz HSDPA, a 2.4-inch 240x320 display, WiFi, GPS, FM Tuner and biggie 5 megapixel camera with Xenon flash and Carl Zeiss lens. So until we hear otherwise, that's what we'll assume until the supposed announcement on November 2nd. Right, that's just 1 week from today.

I wonder if Nokia is trying to pull away some of SE's users? This looks so much line a SE to me.

I think Nokia liked the Tic Tac keys of the SE W880i, K550i/W610i.

Hopefully they make it in a US 3G version from the get go.

I'm not liking the looks of this phone at all. Definitely a SE knockoff. Very un-Nokia like. Hopefully some major mods are made to the design in the next few months.

If it has the beefed-up battery and increased RAM of the N95 8GB, it will be a good alternative for those who prefer a candybar design. The 2.4" screen is large enough for practical use.

Well its probably gonna be announced in a week and this is the same design we have seen for the last 5 months or so. So don't expect a change in design.

The keys remind me of the N91.
Doesn't look very pretty, but it's the specs I'm interested in.
