Definitely interested in this one. Any word on the keyboard, it looks a little 'tight'.

i compared the size to other similar ppcs (hp 910, ubiquio 503g, treo 750) and its a lot smaller than the competition yet packs all the right specs in it.

this could be a very promising phone.

It seems pretty small, but infosync also suggests it's pretty good:

The Ultimate 8502 has the best keyboard we have ever used on a mobile phone, ever. Nothing else comes close. Remember when you used to jump on your parents' bed? That's the feeling your fingers will have typing on the springy, gripping keys on the 8502's QWERTY keyboard. The pyramid shape, the soft-touch paint, the great travel and the sharp click all helped this keyboard exceed our expectations.

I don't have fat fingers so I don't care about tight. I do like the idea of a 2.6" screen instead of 2.4".

Looks good but unfortunately my eyes aren't so good. So the 2.6" officially kills it for me. Yes 2.8 is the line I can not cross. I have tried the 2.6" in the Jaq3 and noticed a difference. Difference being more eye strain. Especially in Pocket PC. Smartphone is geared more for the smaller screen IMHO. It totally looks like they could have fit a 2.8" too. That "dpad/joystick" looks horrible IMHO. Also weren't all "Ultimate" series phones supposed to share the same specs? Close but no cigar. Kudos to Imate for the attempt though. I ask this. Why not stick with a tried and true design layout like the Treo, and every other phone out there? What's with the itty bitty joystick and off to the side(geared for left handed) placement?

Dang!

Maybe they upgraded it? The rep in the msmobiles video clearly states that "both devices have full VGA screens" (referring to the 6150 and 8502) - and stresses the point that this sets them apart from the Quarter VGA competition.
