I also got an email that they were out of stock from Clove and Handtec when I placed orders with them. I might buy in the US now for that extra piece of mind... I think only a $50 or so difference with shipping and exchange rates.

Well I now responded directly to their sales@clove.co.uk address (as opposed to using their "order tracking" reuqest system).

I will update the forum on what if any response I receive.

I really hope they get the SDHC card thing solved. My 8GB card is calling me!

My biggest concer ordering this model is the joystick. I'm very used to the normal d-pad on my Treo 750. I've had a Treo 700w then a 700wx and now a 750 - nothing but windows treos since Janaury of 2006! Anyway, none of the early feedback sems to be negative on the joystick and some is down right positive.

I know with the 6150 and 8150 there is a problem with SDHC cards, so perhaps there is the same issue with the 8502 and 9502.

As I have posted previously, I was really concerned with the 'nub'.
After a week of using it, all I can say is: very responsive, quick and space-saving. In fact I like it more for some uses than I thought it would be effective. If you still have access to the old, original port of Pac-Man for the Pocket PC for example, you'll appreciate the finer and quicker control it offers while chomping down the dots and eluding Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde

What happened to the photos everyone was going to post? It's going to be a long wait. We need something to feast on.

I ordered from Clove last night and got an email today stating they are receiving an order at the end of next week.

Mr loopy, where in the US will you find one of these?

I will, I promised; and I will. Just have to finish web traffic school first In a couple of days...

Other than comparisons between my other two devices, what else would you like to see?

Ok, here's some photos of my Imate 8502 with PDAir case and screen protector ...

The keypad may look small and cramp but its actually very usable, its a breeze to sms

Bright screen, no issues even for outdoor viewing ...

Single external 2.0Mp camera (with flash) takes decent photos

Side dial comes in handy for single handed operation. It can be used for scrolling up/down and depressed for selection.

Accessible buttons for volume up/down, notes and camera

Mobilecityonline was the place.

Joelv2g, did you confirm they have them in stock? The website shows pre-order and when I emailed last week, they said April 22 estimated...

Cheers mate

The one thing I would like to do is change the keyboard dollar sign to an English £ sign. Does anyone know how to do this, or where the registry setting might be?

I am waiting for mobilecityonline.com as well. I would rather purchase from a US supplier just in case there is an issue with the unit. Shipping it back and forth to the UK would be costly.
