Not certain of anything that it might fix, so let me know if there is something that I can check into. I know it doesn't fix the playlist order frustration I have (which is that I want to play my songs in the original album order, not song title alpha).
... Interesting Clip Board function #5 under Display Settings,... was this always there? I don't recall seeing it there before - and no matter how I setup my displays - I can't get the clocks in the Clip Board to show on my main screen. Anyone else seen this (on the Chocolate or any other LG)??
is there now a way not to have to hit the center button 4 times to end a call with the slider closed? or any way to now go into speaker mode without having to mess with the phone a lot to get the spk key active again while in a call. or an easy way to go back to the main menu with the slider closed rather than having to hit clr about a dozen times?
Well to get to the home screen with the slider closed you can always lock, then unlock it. When I'm in a web session that's what I do to get out of it (when the slider is closed).

awesome! been waiting for that kind of answer for weeks now! thanks.

If you try to end the call with the OK button it still seems to take about 4 clicks or so (assuming the phone is locked when you start doing it), even with version 3 of the firmware.
I still wonder what the changes are in this firmware.
Anyone know if this update changes the way auto view works on the phone? With V01 firmware auto view for text messages opens them as soon as they are received. It seems like it would be better, to me at least, if auto view opened text messages when you slide the phone open.

I think that's the nature of auto-view, to open a message as soon as it comes in, whether or not the phone is opened (thus basically the "auto" part). I doubt something like that would be changed in a firmware upgrade--it's certainly a possibility in general, but usually a very small one.
Ok thanks. I was just wondering because with my VX8100 (a flip phone) it waited to open the message until the flip was opened. I just thought it made more sense to also wait until the slide was open. Here's hoping to V04 doing it.

I think that might have been because the LG VX8100 was a flip phone, so it would actually wait till you actually could see the main screen before it would show it to you, while on the LG Chocolate the main screen is already available, even if the slider is closed. Nevertheless, what you are suggesting is certainly something that makes sense, but it's sort of an enhancement, and even then probably only for some (since others might like it to show the message right away whether the phone is opened or closed), so unless it was designed that way from the beginning (and it wasn't) it's unlikely that a firmware upgrade (which is usually for bugs and and somewhat more important changes) would change that, but, again, anything can certainly happen.
