[Mini Guide] Upgrade a BL3.9 iPhone to 1.1.3 and Unlock using ZIPHONE 2.0

Finally got my BL3.9(1.02OTB) 1.12 iPhone upgraded to 1.1.3 Unlocked!!

I DO NOT HOLD RESPONSIBLE IF YOUR PHONE IS BRICKED OR DAMAGED. FOLLOW THIS GUIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK!! I STARTED WITH A BL3.9(1.02OTB) 1.12 iPhone

Pre-requisites:
1) This mini guide is targeted for people on BL3.9
2) If you are on 1.0.2, but used iUnlock, anySIM 1.02 (or
earlier), or any type of unlock that was released prior to anySIM 1.1, you need to virginize your phone before using this guide. Follow:
http://iphone.unlock.no/#how-to-dow...ginize-baseband
3) iTunes 7.6 (Other versions may work, but this is what I used)
4) .NET Framework 2.0 Installed (If you don't have it, do a Windows Update)

Mini Guide for whoever is on BL3.9

1) Download ZIPHONE 2.0
http://www.ziphone.org/2008/02/ziph...-game-over.html
2) Extract to C:\ZIPHONE
3) Restore via DFU to 1.1.3
4) Click Start | Run and type in CMD
5) CD to path C:\ZIPHONE
6) Enter the string "ZiPhone -v -j -a -u" (Do not include the quotation marks) and press the "Enter" key on your keyboard.
Note 1: -v is to avoid freezing apple logo screen, -j is for jailbreaking, -a is for activation, and -u is for unlocking.
Note 2: After completion its probably a good idea to install BSD Subsystem first then OpenSSH from Installer.app
7) Walla! Your iPhone is at 1.1.3 Activated, Jailbroken, and Unlocked! If you're on T-Mobile and wish to install the T-Zones 5.99 Proxy Hack proceed to the next step, otherwise you're done.
8) [a] In Installer go to All Packages and install Bigboss's Beta/Experimental Source. [b] Go to Tweaks (1.1.3)
and install T-Mobile 1.1.3 TZones Hack. Restart phone and your done!

Is the ZiPhone unlock reversible in 3.9BL?
In other words, will it need to be reapplied when you restore the firmware?

I heard that it works similar to AnySim, so yes you will need to run ZiPhone again

Nice tutorial!

Awesome tutorial! I can't wait to use this one. But, I still have a question to ask: Any problems/issue with 1.1.3 features? Wiggling icon(moving, saving and deleting), google maps, youtube, sms..etc?

Is this method the same as the one on iclarified titled "How to Unlock Your iPhone with ZiPhone GUI (Windows) "?
http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=666Phone

And what bootloader and baseband do you end up with?

it's semi the same, except mine utilizes ZiPhone 2.0 and the command prompt approach (far less buggy)
In the end, I still have BL3.9 and Baseband 04.03.13_G

i used the ziphone gui 2.1 version and it worked perfectly but again you still have to dfu and restore to 1.1.3. thanks for the guide. oh and 2.1 took away option -v because it's of no use since it's now included automatically.

Thanks for the news

Thus as an update, anyone who wants to use ZiPhone 2.1 Feel free! Just note that when running step 6), do not use -v in the string. Thus the following is an update to step 6)

6) Enter the string "ZiPhone -j -a -u" (Do not include the quotation marks) and press the "Enter" key on your keyboard.
