I am trying to set up GrandCentral as the single voicemail for my T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint accounts.
With T-Mobile and AT&T, I was able to conditionally call forward my calls to GrandCentral. The process is simple on the GSM networks, you just enter the appropriate conditional call forwarding codes and your GrandCentral number.
On Sprint, I was advised to call Customer Care and remove voicemail from my account. I was able to do that, but the Sprint conditional call forwarding codes still do not work.
To set conditional call-forwarding with Sprint service, Simulscribe's Tech Support says:
Quote:
If you call (888) 788-4727 number and ask directly for Technical Support (ie - Customer Service can't handle it). Ask the tech support rep to open their "ESM application" and change the "Call forward/Busy" and "Call forward/No Answer" fields to the simulscribe number you received in your original email. The Tech support rep will authorize and activate the feature. There is no additional charge for that service, according to them (unlike unconditional call forwarding at $0.20/event). I hope that helps...
That is what I did, and it worked. That same procedure should work to forward your Sprint to your GrandCentral phone number.

Wouldn't it be easier just to give people your GC number? Since the whole point of GC is to forward calls from your GC number to many phones, setting up your many phones to forward to your GC number seems kinda backwards.
Oh and about GC you can set it so that all the calls show your GC caller ID, call sprint and add that number to your pick 3 or mobile-2-home (or mobile2office) and BAM free inbound calls. I also have this number setup where if I call from my phone it will let me dial anywhere and because its on my mobile2office its basically free outgoing calls (well 1.5cents/minute but that's nothing)
Waaaaaay back in the day, Sprint advertised the option to swap your Voicemail service for Conditional Call Forwarding on CDMA. The Call Forwarding rate was $0.10 per minute for either Conditional or Unconditional (*72) but you had the flexibility of turning Conditional forwarding on/off and changing the destination from the handset via a star code, which is no longer an option.
I'm fully expecting that there WILL be a per-minute charge for this capability, most likely at the current $0.20 per minute rate. But I'd like to be pleasantly surprised!
Did this not work, see below? You are correct...with AT&T and Tmobile there is no chatrge for Call forwarding. It just comes out of your minutes as long as you have some. AFAIK, sprint charges $0.20 for call forwarding.

I just used the above ESM forwarding method and was assured by the tech support rep that there is no charge when done that way. It is different from when you use *72 or enable forwarding from your phone's menu. I used my GC number for my voicemail #.
T-Mobile actually has a separate 500 minute bucket for conditional call forwarding. The first 500 each month are included. At least that's how it shows for me.
