The Official LG "Dare" VX9700 Pre-Release Thread

The LG VX9700 was approved by the FCC on March 6.
https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas...;BEJVX9700'

It will most likely be the "Prada" type device we've all heard about, but there are still no pictures of the VX9700.
AT&T's version will be called the "Vu".

Is it me, or didn't we already have an ongoing "pre-release"-type thread for LG VX9700 from earlier this week that had about a few pages of threads? What happened to that one--I would have figured it would perhaps have been just renamed to be this more "official" pre-release thread, or at least merged with a more "official" one like this one, but not really just lost.

No I remember the thread. You're not imagining it.

That's what I thought (since I remember even posting in it), but I can't even find it now (via search or otherwise), which is quite strange.

Is this or the Vu a pda type phone that would require a data plan or just a normal phone?

Besides that, seems like Verizon, and the whole cellphone indusry in general, is rolling out these touch based devices like mad. lol.

Well the MobiTV lawyers didn't like that thread...

Probably because that one was a rumors and speculation thread and this one has actual information, fcc filing, etc. To avoid confusion it's probably best just to have one pre-release thread going on a phone.

Keep in mind Verizon will probably cripple and ruin it and butcher the OS to the point of Meh.

I definitely agree it's best to keep one going at a time, but I guess we already had one it seems, and it would probably not be that great to just lose any information from that one (there wasn't too much, but there was some).

You're in a Verizon forum. Do you really think we need to be reminded of what the UI will be like?

Don't worry. Everyone around here knows what to expect from a Verizon phone.

I hope this phone has at least 3 megapixle camera because there are only a few phones in America like that, and I'm always jealous on how all these nice camera phones that are GSM have good Cameras.

unfortunately, Verizon already lost one potential buyer for this phone...

my friend is from France. must be more than a year now (or around that) that he has owned the Prada...

this phone is old news... why is everything so behind in this country

sorry for the rant. I actually think this is a great phone... much more compact & sleek than the Voyager IMO...
