Hahah heck yeah! So much for it being voice only, eh?
I haven't plugged in my 6263 yet, but I'm hoping they flip the switch in Vegas today too. Not likely but I still can hope.
Edit: Just plugged it in. If its going live in Vegas today it isn't live yet. I'm still only getting 170k. Of course that's double what I got last night...

the reception on 3G mode is same as 2G
means I still have no reception in the basement without repeater
this is about the same as I thought
everybody in tri-state area, pick up your T-mo branded 3G phone and tether to see what is yours

i knew it wasnt voice only people were getting their panties in a bunch before 3g was even launched because engagenet mobile said it would be voice nly. i dont take them as a most reliable source. but whatever. maybe this will teach everyone not to believe everything they hear and use the wait and see method

Exactly. It would have been extremely dumb for T-Mo to release a 3g DATA network and not provide higher DATA speeds. And from what TBD says, it didn't help with voice coverage much either.....

It has the same footprint as gsm for the most part. Coverage can be improved now because frequencies are being freed up for more cells.

Wirelessly posted (HP 211 and/or nokia N73: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.7))
it appears not all Brooklyn has 3G, I see alot of handoff when I observe the bitrate on slingplayer
but it's pretty smooth, no single internet disconnect
