BLACK Motorola RAZR2 V9 for AT&T is coming...

The V9 is not forgotten...

However, it does explain the End of Life status on the disgustingly-colored Red/Pink-backlit V9.

It should be on its way the second half of this year. It's most likely gonna have GPS (AT&T Navigator) as well as the Synergy OS. The colors are similar, if not exactly the same as the Black Rogers V9 that is currently sold in Canada. This rumor was reported earlier this year, and I've got a reliable source that has confirmed this for me.

No word on price as of yet.

IronCross,

Do you have any sense if we're talking 3rd quarter or 4th quarter of 2008?

Thanks!

Cool, might get one yet. I'm gonna be driving soon (October) and I know if I cannot even hear my iPhone in my own house, I won't be able to hear it in my car. Perfect excuse to get the crystal talk v9.

Unfortunately, there is no link I can give right now. However, I can tell you I'm a COR rep with friends in places that know things.

I asked that exact same question and my source said AT&T and Motorola are still working things out as to which quarter it'll be released. However, their target is before the end of the year, and HOPEFULLY somewhere around September. I can tell you now the phone is already well into its testing phases.

Finally! The Razr3 V10 will probably be out by the time these at&t jokers get their act together, I personally had to pay extra to get the euro version in black I was so sick of waiting.

Would definitely of course love to have 3G though since the unlocked versions run on 2100.

I have a feeling it's going to cost 1.5 times the current V9 because it's in a new color.

A day late and a dollar short. It'll be old news by the time it hits the street, unfortunately. AT&T should have skipped the wine and went with the black.

One would assume that since it's taken at&t about a thousand years to test it and release it that they are working on getting the external LCD controls to work like they do on the Euro/HK version. Otherwise, if it's taking them this long just to launch the same phone in a different color, then I guess their bureaucratic process is worse than the government's.

PS: In case anyone who has any say in what the final product will look like is reading this, how about getting rid of that shiny chrome hinge and replacing it with a nice black metal hinge?

Thanks, Moto.

Thanks, Moto.

I believe external controls, reading text messages, etc. are on the list of items to add to the Black V9.
