I'm sorry that my gramatical and editing prowess is not up to par for you. What I was trying to say was that it seems that there's not a lot buzz on this phone, but for ME, it seems this phone has everything I'm looking for.
I would think this phone is not a huge release right now is because of its timing. Its currently in the shadow of the blackberry storm.
Engagdet Mobile just posted a training calendar for VZW employees. It sets completion dates for the Touch Diamond and the BB Storm, which hints at a release around that time. Although not mentioned by Engadget, the schedule also includes a training for global devices, to be completed before 11/28. Hopefully that training includes the i770...
BTW..I'm starting to lean more and more towards this phone. I was sort of waiting for the Diamond and the Raphael, but...I still prefer a front facing physical keyboard (like my trusty old Q) over touchscreen or slide-out. The UI may not be as slick as the HTC devices, but the form factor is exactly right, IMHO. And I kinda like that idea of a mouse, nice in browsers (much like the BB browsers)..more accurate than tyring to hit a link with your finger. Hopefully someone will find a way to unlock the SIM, and perhaps the folks over at XDA can port TouchFlo to 320x320 (could happen.... i780 and Treo Pro user base would also like that).

Testman Site Update
For what it's worth, the VZW Testman site was still displaying the i760 as of yesterday. However, today the i760 is gone. Based on other phones that have had sequel models released by VZW the release generally comes very shortly after the removal of the device being replaced.

as much as i am into getting the BB Storm, i dont think i am going to like the touchscreen keyboard - i still want a real qwerty that does not need to be slid open. plus, with all the software coming out by SPB and SBSH you can swipe and flick on on touchscreen WM phones. this could be pretty close to perfect for me (for now...)!
I loved my Blackjack 2 when I was on ATT. But if this phone comes to VZW I would be required to pay the $30 fee, right? May as well get the BB then...ugh.

I would think you could get a data block on your plan or do pay per kb plan for this phone.

I cant remember if it is supposed to have it, but if it has EVDO RevA then there is no way in the world you would want the data blocked! Even VZW's EVDO Rev0 is better than ATT's 3g IMO. Worth every penny of that $30!
damnit my upgrade began today..and i was all ready to get the i760. went online and it was gone..went to the store and they were all out..now im reading about this..i really really liked the slide out keypad. but fond of the touch screen...why cant this come out now..im sick of this stupid alias
