Very cool looking phone! Finally something for me to sign a 1 year contract over. Any reliable word yet on when it is hitting TMO? I want to have it and the $20 total internet in place for the hopeful Oct 1st occassion.
E.T.A.-I dl'd the manual that was put up a week or two ago and even though it has TMO bits and pieces listed, it didn't look like it was crippled upon my initial look. There is even mention of streaming content!
Unless TMO stripped it out, a lot should be the same as the Z780. It will be interesting to see if it can be flashed to the Z780 software.
The only downer is that I went into a TMO store yesterday to ask about availability. The first guy I happened to grab was a trainee who then had to refer to the guy next to him. He hadn't heard of this phone yet and asked where I has heard about it. I told him about the FCC pics. Now, I know in general, people say to trust what a rep says with a grain of salt, but his answer had a painful smack of truth to it......
He said that he would guess Q1 or Q2 of next year. That sounds like the smacking part but it isn't. It's the next part. I told him that I had heard sooner than that, but here was his reply that made his previous answer so painful. It was, "Yeah, but we're talking about T-Mobile timescale here." Ouch! Yeah, I think all of us know what he means.

just keep eyes on SE modding forum around here
I bet some members will be able to flash TM506 with Z780 fw
I may flash mine, however, the purpose is to add Chinese display support (if any), not just de-branding
keep in mind, doing such will lose warranty, make sure it's 100% trouble-free before doing it
