Reinstalling N Gage
Ive had this problem for a while but had nothing to do. So I figure I would get to it. After the new N95-4 got the update...I restored my backup and it had n gage on it. So I guess theres 2 N gages in there. When I try to remove them, the phone freezes and I get an error message. How do I fix this?

when i upgraded firmware on my n82, i got something simliar before the newest firmare the n-gage was diffrent. i had the asphault racing game and i think another game. and after i installed the new firmware the n-gage icon shows up now and i dont have my old game. but it shows up in system files and i cant delete it.
now i have these silly 2 min demos of games rather then allowing to finish playing 1 complete game.
i dont know what nokia is thinking, if we buy the games and switch over to another nseries we loose the games. Whats the point of having that program to let it swithc up phones if the games are not going to work.

Maybe your SIS app installation database is messed up.
If you still have the backups:
redo the firmware update or do a factory reset,
install the N-Gage SIS,
restore from backup.
Let us know if these three steps sort it out.
Unless a blue N-Gage icon appears somewhere in your menus after the firmware update, always re-install N-Gage SIS and then do the restore.
It looks like the PC Suite backup only backs up N-Gage settings, points, and game save files. It doesn't seem to backup the entire application. That's why you want to re-install first to get the application and then restore second to put your saved settings back.
I didn't know that N-Gage installed on the North American N95 8GB.
