E71 email clients - hotmail, yahoo, gmail

what are you all using with your E71 to get your YahooMail, Hotmail and Gmail?
I know I can get Gmail with the E71 email client, what about yahoomail and hotmail?

I am trying to use this as a subsitute for the blackberry.

jojosung,

There is another tread about Windows Live & Hotmail, do a search and you can read about it.

I use 3 accounts, My work Exchanger Server, Hotmail and my own domain email.

Exchange - Works perfectly with MfE, Download it on E71
Hotmail - Does not work by me. Can Sync but not write new emails
Personal Domain - Works very well with the built in Email client on the E71

I have never used a Blackberry, but handle then alot at work. These two devices do not compare, my 2 cents.

Nathan

I know about window live, and its problem. Some how it works fine on the N95.

so the last one is Yahoo Mail.

If i can get yahoo in, I'll gladly get rid of blackberry curve, and be happy with E71.

so far, the blackberry curve handle yahoo, hotmail and gmail very well.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that I did get Hotmail to work perfectly on my son's N95! Don't understand how it works there but not on the E71.

There is a download for Yahoo in the E71 but I do not use yahoo so I can't comment on it.

Hi jojosung,

Well Seven Push E-Mail that is still a free Beta handles all those accounts with ease and gives you real time push E-Mail as well. I run 3 accounts a MSN, Yahoo and a BT Internet account with very little hit on battery life either and i run it for 16hrs a day over WiFi. It also integrates perfectly within the inbuilt messaging app to so would be my choice for the easiest way of doing what you need.

(Gmail) you can only set up a maximum of 2 accounts simultaneously for continuous connection? if you add a 3rd account you have to 'check mail' or 'retrieve' manually?

can anyone confirm? thx

Yahoo IMAP mail works fine with the native messaging app. You can't use a wi-fi access point, however.

For some reason after viewing e-mails (gmail) on the e71 mail client they don't get marked as read in my inbox. Any ideas as to why this may be happening?

Started using Seven yesterday. Very solid thus far. Push works great.

On another note, after it installed, I noticed the font is very 'thin' and small. Wish I could make it a bit 'bolder' and larger. Even with the Personalization settings selected at 'Large' it doesn't alter anything....

I downloaded Mail for Exhange by Nokia. I was able to set it up for my work outlook web access.

BUT! It took several attempts to connect and it dropped my connection very often at first.

After 30 minutes of testing, it's instant sync'ing with my Outlook web access. I was also able to pull my contact list from outlook etc...

I'll see if it will continue this tomorrow. I usually receive more then 100 emails per day.

footmatix,

Did it take a long time to download this Seven Client? I keep trying and it just does not download.

Which version did you use?

Nathan
