Calendar Vibrate Function + E71?

Hey everybody, one final question..

Does the E71 have a calendar vibrate option? I'm in college and it would be *nice* to have the phone switch automatically..I know it can do the simple switch between two profiles, and I could have the other profile on silent, but still it would be easier if it had the auto-vibrate for calendar events feature.

Sorry if this has been answered before, I searched and didn't find anything (I even watched BGR's E71 walkthrough, where the question was answered, but didn't find an answer.)

Thanks in advance.

When you make the calendar remind you of an event, it will ring and vibrate x amount of time before event if you set it up that way.

I appreciate the reply but that was not exactly what I meant with the question..I probably should have phrased it better.

I meant if I put in events in the phone (say like a meeting from 3:00-5:00) is there an option for the phone to automatically switch to vibrate during that time slot? I have had phones previously where there are options for the ring to automatically be turned off during events put in calendars..is that an option on the E71?

E71 Silent Profile

Vibrating Alert = ON
Breathing Light = ON
Keypad tones = OFF
Warning Tones = OFF

Calendar Options > Default Tone; not much else in Terms of what your looking for.

However, this is S60 a smartphone
SO maybe a calendar app from SBHB or another company (lonelycat games) both offer Calendar apps that can work on Top of the standard calender. I didn't say replace because you can STILL use the built in calendar and these apps use its conduits to sync with outlook - you don't wanna loose that of course - and have so much more functionality. Handy Calendar also comes to mind where it also MAY give you what you need.

I'm new to S60 as well so you & I need to refine our search here & on Google for S60 Calendar Applications then to goto those links/threads and see what they offer in terms of what you, others, or myself may need.

Cheers.

There are a few programs that'll switch profiles based on rules that you set up.

Ex; every Tue at 10 am, switch to vibrate, then at 11am, switch to general profile.

I think there's even free one that does this, called auto profile (not sure on the name)

Give Smartphoneware Best Profiles a try, this is what are you looking for, use it´s Location based profiles and when you are in college it will switch to vibrate (or whatever you want).
