I can now STFU... e71-2 is mine

This thing is AMAZING.... I know there are tons of reviews, but I may post one in a blog after a solid week of usage. I'll update this thread with a link if I am so inspired.

Back to the phone... just wow... yea, I too have the speaker crackle if I hold down the d-pad to go through lists. That's the only quality control issue thus far. Going to charge it tonight, but for now time to swap the sim out the King and into the Sultan. Can't wait to get the apps going!

Yes, the n95 feels like a Fisher Price toy in comparison and no, no intention of selling as both phones are for different purposes and will be used as such (one for the weekday and one for the weekend... or whenever I wanna change it up).

Good show!!!

congrats on your e71!
question, when the key pad light comes on, does it bleed just a little bit beneath the screen?

I have not posted on the forums in a while...nothing really had me excited enough to care. I had gone back to my ultra reliable BlackBerry 8820 and was content. I got a hell of a deal on the E71-2 and I am absolutely thrilled with the phone so far. It is exactly what I wanted the E61i to be.

Congrats on the purchase and enjoy...I can see myself holding onto this one for a while.

Digging the phone.. two things would make life easier

1. Is there a keypad shortcut to switching to the enxt profile after Normal? Similar to holding # on the n95?

2. Maybe 'cause I was tired last night, but I can't find my games on the mem card unless I go to app manager. Other than playing with the mem card on my laptop, can I copy the games and put them in a folder? I hate going through the "app manager" application.

I'll post more questions as they arise!

Bleh... took the pour soul back. E71-2 only lasted 24 hours... something about going from that screen from the n95s made my quiver. I'll wait for n85 once SIP profiles are verified on that FP2 stuff.

Until then... self teaching myself t9 (a lot better than previous mashing--a la 4 pounds to get a Z) and in search of a new Sultan. Runners up: e66 and n85

LOL are you serious!? Thats not a fair trial at aLL!

I'd like to think of the E71 as The Braseir just under the Sultan. Its a GREAT device - but I'm coming from many SE phones (just 8310 prior which really didn't impress me in the screen) like the K850i, K790a, z520, z500, W810i. NON of which can compare to the E71 or any other S60 device! I didn't realize JUST HOW MUCH I was missing in S60.

LOL Yeah... I might jump into it again, but I couldn't give up the King and although I'd have 2 devices, I found myself wishing I was using the king haha.. oh well, great device, just not for me.

n85 is in my sights if the build quality is as good as they say.
