n96 Personalization

I just bought a n96 phone and was trying to customize it. I downloaded a user manual to help me through it but some of the phone's features/options are not showing up. I was trying to change the theme and the manual is showing this:

Press (an icon), and select Tools > Settings >
General > Personalisation > Themes

However, after pressing the icon on the phone, there is no Tools found on the option. Rather, you will only find Settings. These couldn't be found either: General > Personalisation > Themes

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You're pressing the Menu button, just below the green "Send" button?

On my N96 pressing the Menu button and selecting,
Quote:
Tools > Settings > General > Personalisation > Themes
...does the trick.

There are only three themes listed for me. I'll call them black+blue, black+pink, and black+orange. (Anyone have some good S60 3.2 theme suggestions?) There are lots of other settings there too.

Maybe you have firmware for a different region? What does pressing *#0000# on the home screen give you for "Custom version" and "Language set"?

Hahahaha!

I hope that this doesn't turn into an obnoxious iphone-style forum.

Not everyone is an S60 guru like me... and you. Some of the operator branded firmware can really mess with the menus and available settings.

are you sure its not a chinese knock off version with different software? lol...if its carrier branded the settings app should still be the same i think. wouldnt the phone come with a user manual rather than you having to download it?
