Mini Samsung T919 Behold Review W/ Pics

After playing with the Behold T919 for a few days I decided I would quickly share what I think about it.

I will post more soon.

Pro:

Seems like it has good battery life, better than the G1 on the first charge.

Had some youtube playing, and over 5 hours of phone calls before it said it was low.

Pro: I like the size of it.

(Compared to the G1 in size)

Seems similar when they are on top of eachother, G1 is clearly thicker.

When you hold the behold it just feels good.

More to come soon...

Ask questions if you'd like!

I must admit, the e75 has made me a Nokia fanboy.

How's the frame rate on youtube? And correct if I'm wrong, but you're not in a 3G coverage area so could you comment on the speed of data applications via EDGE? It's pretty snappy down here in Orlando with 3G, but I haven't tried youtube on it.

I tried it on T-Zones, it seems things work only half the time.

Same with having it on a phone with a blackberry plan.

No, dont have 3G here... its about 100 miles down the road.

Youtube is great, it loads up fast and doesnt buffer much. On speedtests I get about 140-170kbps.

What plan are you using with it exactly?

That seems kinda slow. Do you or anyone know what the average 3G speeds are? Does 3G speeds get into the 1 Mbps?

why am i not surprised...way to go t-mo...

Please post if T-mobile alters your data plan in any way...I'm curious to see what happens after a week with your sim in this phone, if they'll try to bump you to a "G1-like" data plan...

Well its been close to a week now and no data plan changes but... I might not have it much longer....

I think I am going to sell it off or return it...

I do like the touch screen but we will see....

I'd say G1 > Behold.

For someone who doesn't want extra apps and just likes texting and calling then the Behold would be great.

Ryan, can it do email? I see no mention of that anywhere, it seems like it is a phone-only device with touchscreen. Might not be what the Dash user always dreamt of...
