Blackberry Storm Bugs

Tell me if anyone out there is having the same problems. I have noticed some bugs on my storm. Overall the phone is a 7 out of 10. Its a really nice phone, just to bad its so buggy, and has an 8 minute or more "boot up" time, esspecially since I have to pull the battery out quite frequently when the storm seems to loose its mind.. Maybe someone can help.

Bug 1. In Calender, I can set as many reminder alerts as I want to, But so far NONE of them has alerted my blackberry. It doesn't send any kind of reminder at all, Even though on the calender page it shows up a little bell after I save the alert.

Bug 2. I can't seem to get this phone to be quiet. If I store contacts with a special ring tone, the ring tone will override my "sounds" settings, for example, If I put my "sounds" settings to vibrate only, and then someone with a special ring tone calls, it still plays the ring tone, even with it on Vibrate. There has got to be a way to get this fixed.

Bug 3. (this one is going to get me in trouble) This has happened 3 times in the week and a half I've had the phone. I have a friend named Monte. I have his Caller Id Image, and ring tone set. For some reason my phone likes Monte, 3 different times, 3 different people have called, my phone pops up "incoming call from Monte" I pick up the phone, and its a completely different person with a completely different number. The phone automatically realizes this once I hit ACCEPT, and it switches over on the screen, but its to late. I actually had to talk to this chic one night because it says it was Monte, I clicked ACCEPT, said Hello, and she was like Hi! This could really get me in some jams. So far it always has only falsely used Monte.

Bug 4. GPS (with VZ navigator) seems to be like 100yds behind most of the time, for example when it says to make a turn, and you make it, it thinks you went "of course" and recalculates the route. This is annoying because if it does it for the first turn, it does it for EVERY turn. I would say this is only a problem about 60% of the time.

So if any of you have these problems, or more, or just know how a noob to verizon can fix them, please let me know, otherwise I believe this 30day test ride is going to end a little early. Thanks guys

Found it, its version 4.7.0.65

p.s. One main reason i got this phone is to be able to watch videos online, however it seems that youtube is the only thing my phone will support, everywhere else says flash version is too old, so whats going to happen when Youtube starts using a new flash version?

ps.s just got of the phone with tech support. we actually set up a tech phone to see if it was just my phone, or all storms. The rin tones overrinding the sounds setting is universal (which means yours does the same thing), The calander alert was also the same, so no alerts for events, however if you use yahoo, you can use their calander, and set it to alert your mobile phone as an alternative. The false contact seems to me my problem only. So please guys, this seems to be a good place to discuss all bugs. Tell us what kind of experiences your having. Can I get a sticky Mod's? lol Good luck everyone, I will update you again as soon as I have more for you

1. Go into Profile-Advanced. Select your profile you are using. Select Calendar and check to see what your vibration and/or Tone settings are.

2. Go into Profile-Advanced. Underneath the list of profiles is a section "Use Active Profile Except for:". Uncheck anyone who has a custom ringtone which you don't want to have the profile overridden.

3. I don't know. Never have experienced it.

4. Mine seems to be a lot closer to my position, so I haven't experienced it.

All you guys with the alert problems (test, email, calendar, etc.) would serve yourself well to spend five minutes on that section in the manual...

My issue has nothing to do with the setup it alerts. Sometimes it alerts me and sometimes I just see the light flashing red and it doesn't make a sound.
