The test was simple. My lovely N82 next to new kid in town E75. N82 cam configured at 3MP (it's a 5MP beast mind you!). In a nutshell i’d prefer the N82’s 5 megapixel with Carl Zeiss Optics and Xeon flash powered by the software operating and managing the 3.2 megapixels of the E75. Nokia did an amazing job optimiing S60 but I guess i just can’t have that combo.
Judge yourself. Nokia E75 photo comes first. Nokia N82 photo follows.
If you see the pics from the sky and the wall it show they are better. The N82 has a better details on edges or compression. Don't kno. I'm uploading the original pics on Flickr as we speak.

After looking at the full size photos, the e75 looks ok. I would say that based on this test the E75's camera is acceptable. I would not say that it is better than the N82. I would want to see a full range of pictures in all light to make that decision. I know this argument has been beaten into the ground. But I see a camera phone that only takes pictures during the daylight as an incomplete piece of equipment.
The best way that I can make this comparison is to start a new thread titled. Keypad War: N82 vs E75. Which do you think would win this battle? It is possible to enter text on both the N82 and the E75. However, the qwerty keyboard on the e75 makes the overall experience better.
Can I enter the same text on an N82?? Yes I can. Will it take longer? Maybe.
Can I take the same pictures in all lighting conditions with the E75?? No I can't.
For me, this is the fundamental difference of all led flash phones currently out there, when compared to the n82.

Yeah, it may give hope for the N86. If the E Series cameras are coming this close to the old N series level, think how great the new N Series cameras will be.

I'd rather be able to take a decent picture in daylight than not at all. (ie. E71, iPhone, BB Bold)

I would rather be able to take picture in any light that I happen to be in. (ie N82, 6220 classic...........oh thats it, thats the list, at least for nokia)
As I already stated, when it comes to taking pictures, the N82 still wins. The daylight pictures are so close that most wont/cant tell the difference. I guarantee, if you take a picture with both in low light situations, even the most novice of photographers would be able to tell the difference.
